7 Signs Your Knee Pain Needs an Orthopaedic Doctor
Knee pain is very common, especially after 40. Many cases improve with rest and exercise, but some need a proper examination.
See a doctor if you notice:
- Swelling that does not settle in a few days
- The knee locks or gives way
- Pain at night or at rest
- You heard a "pop" during sport
- Visible deformity (bow-legs) increasing over time
- Difficulty climbing stairs
- Fever with a hot, red, swollen knee — this is urgent
Early diagnosis often means simpler treatment. Book a consultation if any of these sound familiar.
